1. Went over the 19.3 Notetaking WS of the Rights of Women 2. Watched the Video Clip of "Bet You Didn't Know: Prohibition | History" 3. Discussed the reasons for temperance and prohibition of the 18th Amendment. 4. Discussed the problems caused by Prohibition leading to its end in 1933. 5. Discussed alcohol sales not legally happening in Zuni. 6. Discussed the movement to legalize marijuana state by state and possibly nationally occurring today while reflecting on the temperance and prohibition of alcohol. What can we learn from that period? Alcohol and marijuana are not the same but have similarities? What are problems are caused as marijuana is illegal? What new problems may exist if it was legalized? Homework: 1. 19.3 Quiz Assignment (Save the backside 19.4 Quiz for next week.) 2. Any missing or late assignments. March 8-12: As we end the 3rd quarter we will cover Section 4: Struggles for Justice. The Section 4 Quiz assignment will be completed. There will be a quiz on the Vocab and People of 19.3 & 19.4.
